Yellowstone National Park

We try to go on at least one camping trip a summer... This year we decided to go north up to Yellowstone national park. I had never been there before but I had heard that it was way pretty and that I would get a chance to see buffalo, which I hadn't seen either. My little sister was in town as well so that was a plus she hadn't been up there either. We had a group of friends go with us on this trip. Our little car was super packed with 5 people in it and all of our camping gear and food in the trunk and the space cadet on the top as well... So we embarked on our trip we spent the night at Jon's cousin's house up in Idaho before heading into the park the next day. We had a great trip, even though it literally poured most of the time and needless to say we figured out that our tent is not rain proof! We had a lot of water leaked inside the tent so we had to go get some tarps to put on the top to stop the rain from getting inside! I'm glad we had at least 3 guys to help out with that! :) I didn't realize how big Yellowstone really is, takes forever to drive through it so much to see! We saw lots of Bison that it got boring after a while, we also saw deer, and bears. We got to finally see old faithful erupt as well and that was kinda exciting. Some memorable things that happened on this trip include: I lost my sunglasses, Alysson's cell phone ended up in the trash can and Jon was nice enough to jump into the dumpster and look for it, and Jon got poison oak all over his legs while he went wondering into some bushes... :( We had a blast despite all the rain we got on this camping trip, I hope I can go back there one day to keep exploring yellowstone, it's really green up there! loved it!
