Halfway done!!!

So I'm half way done with nursing school! yay! only 8 more months to go... Even though it still seems like a long time to go it's better than what it looked like at the beginning of January, I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! It has been quite the adventure! We have moved to a different place since still in Ogden, we hated our last landlords they never fixed anything and will always promise stuff and never keep their word oh well we found a place where Buster has a backyard so it is a lot nicer to be able to just open the door and let him go outside versus putting him on a leash and taking him outside to go potty! :) Nursing has been extremely time consuming! I have classes, labs, and clinicals so it takes most of my time. I do feel like I have learned a lot since I have started. This past semester my favorite class has been Maternity and pediatrics. I had the chance to watch and assist in a vaginal birth and got to watch a C-section as well at the hospital. Those where really neat clinicals and probably some of the most exciting ones we have had so far! I still don't know what field I want to go into but I do know that I liked maternity a lot so that is a possibility but I do still want to explore surgery or the ER setting before I decide where exactly I want to go to. Eventually I want to pursue a masters in nursing just not quite sure which direction to go towards right now leaning towards a Nurse Practitioner but I guess I'll figure it out later down the road.  Jon and I both HATE ogden, we really miss Orem and our house down there! Ogden is just really trashy and scary sometimes. We had a car follow us from a dog park earlier in the year and that was a rather scary experience luckily nothing bad happened! So we know for sure that we do not want to stay in Ogden longer than what we have to. As or right now we are not sure if we will be going back to Orem was im done with school up here or if we will be moving out of state. We want to get away from the Snow, we both hate it (I think I hate the snow more than jon) mostly driving in it, but we don't know where exactly we want to go to... I guess we have a few more months to figure that part out...

Quick Cali trip!

My oldest sister and her family are moving to Florida so I wanted to see them one last time before they headed out to Florida, so we took a quick memorial day roadtrip to see them! It was great seeing my family and actually getting out of Utah and having a break from school even it if was just a for a few days! I got to see my parents, sisters, and my cousins in las vegas! We also took Buster on his first beach trip! He absolutely hates baths and anything to do the water, Jon dragged poor buster into the salty waves at the beach and got him to swim a little bit I don't think he enjoyed it very much! I love the beach and miss being soo far away from it! We had a great time and we even got to take a few family pictures at a nearby park!

Jon Graduates from College!

This was a very happy day for Jon! After much convincing I finally got him to walk for graduation. He technically finished everything in December but they don't walk in December I believe UVU only has one graduation ceremony in April. I told him to walk since according to him he is DONE with College and doesn't wanna go back and get a masters but maybe I will convince him otherwise in a couple of years! :) So proud of him! I remember there was a point where he just wanted to quit and just work full time this was just when we had gotten married but he was able to pull through all the challenges and finally finish his Bachelor's Degree!

Valentine's Day

It is still very much cold and freezing outside! It seems like Ogden is a lot colder and it accumulates a lot more snow during the winter! :( I'm tired of winter and looking forward to spring and summer!  This year we didn't really have any fancy plans to celebrate Valentine's since it landed on a thursday and I had a long day of clinicals starting at 5:45am!  I made one of our favorite's dishes for dinner and my sweet husband bought me some cute presents including the movie Up in 3d! I'm thankful for my sweet husband and for his unconditional love and support in all that I do!
